Round Square Volunteers – Photography& Paint

It was my first time giving a session on (Photography and Volunteering) to such a group with a wide variety of nationalities, a very interesting experience indeed.

We discussed the basics of photography, practiced the techniques with the different cameras with the different brands they had, and at the end talked about utilizing such a hobby and a gift in a beneficial way.

RS

These young students in the pictures come from Jordan, Palestine, USA, India, Pakistan and Russia, they are part of an amazing organization called The Round Square (RS) ; it recognizes that academic pursuit, whilst vital, is no longer sufficient to prepare the youth of today to be the adults of tomorrow. This organization gathers students from different schools all around the world and takes them to areas where they can offer help and assistance. Such work prepares these young men and women to be the leaders of tomorrow and build a great sense of responsibility towards others.

The RS visited Jordan – Kings Academy during November, met with different students from all over the world and worked in different regions of the country, especially during the Volunteer International Day. The group I was with worked on painting houses with Habitat for Humanity Jo – Which is located in Madaba and aims at empowering families in need when it comes to residence and housing.
